Capital City Boise, formerly name Capital City Baptist Church, just went through a huge church change. They contacted Billboard Alley (www.billboardalley.com) and asked us if we could give them a cool and attractive look that would push them in to the Internet age. We took a look a their old site and knew that we could definietly help them out. Working hand in hand with their pastor Tim Bruce, we presented them with their new site and they all loved it.

How Your Church Website Should Be Designed
A lot of church websites tend to have a very bad design, they are not designed in a proper way, following usability and design rules. Church website webmasters are often enthusiastic but less trained for this kind of job.
Church webmasters tend to use a lot of cheap gif images in their church website design, like those moving angels, rotating crosses, etc.
This is not a nice thing, really.
Try to look at the website of a known church, with a professional website design, to see that you will not find any of those cheesy animated gifs.
Them when designing your church website, select and filter the information that you want to display on the site.
Don’t let yourself convinced to display all the information that you have at the same time. When designing your church website, guide yourself after the principle less is more.
Remember to present your information with a lot of spaces, so people don’t get tired reading text on your website. Also, when designing the layout of your text area on your church website, think about adding a picture every 2-3 paragraphs. This way, church site visitors will find the design more attractive and the text easier to read.
